Some misc preparations Renwing my passport Getting an international drivers license at SMC Getting an international camping card at SMC Vaccination & profylax for:    Hepatit A    Hepatit B    Yellow fever    Typhiod    Kholera    Tourist diarréa    Malaria profylax (Lariam)    Antibiotics (Ciproxin) The financial budget for my trip was very loosely planned since i had no idea of how much i was gonna spend on the road. But i had saved up around 40.000 SEK (around 4.000€). And when comming back after the 3 months long trip i had only spent around half of it. Rooms and campings in europe was usually in between 10-20€ a night Campings in africa (never stayed in rooms) was usually in between 2-4€ a night In january 2004 i bought my Yamaha XT600E offroad bike. See the "Tech" area for more details about it. Getting a drivers license for motorbikes. Started taking lessons in early summer and on the 10th of july 2004 I finally got my license.   SMC (Sveriges Motorcyklisters Centralorganisation) mechanical traning course for 2 days.   Some early spring rides in Barkhyttan 2004, to get a feel for the bike and how to ride one.

* The total lengh of my trip was 3 months. Started 4th of november and returned the 4th of februari. * The total amount of money I spent during that time was around 2.500€.
